Your House Will Be Left Desolate

The heart of the Lord Jesus was breaking as he announced to Israel's leaders that He was departing from them and that their Temple would be spiritually barren. The Lord's presence would no longer be occupying it. But Israel's Messiah did not leave His people without hope. He promised them He would return to them -- at the time when they were willing to day: "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"
